Adjusting Sound Setting in Browser

For Presenter Webcams, you may need to go into the site settings for your browser and adjust the Sound setting to join and receive audio during the program.

 

Chrome

Once in the program, you will want to click the Site Information Icon ; which can be found in the top left of the browser next to the URL/Address Bar

After clicking the Site Information Icon, a drop-down menu will appear:

 

From the drop-down menu, you will want to click on Site Settings; which will open another tab as shown below:

Once in Site Settings, update the Sound setting under the Permissions section, from “Ask” to “Allow.”

 

After updating the Sound setting, you can close the Site Settings tab.

 

Back on the Program Page, you will now see a Reload button. Clicking it will apply the changes you made and refresh the page. 

 

Firefox

Once in the program, you will want to click the Site Information Icon ; which can be found in the top left of the browser next to the URL/Address Bar.

 

After clicking the Site Information Icon, a drop-down menu will appear:

 

From the drop-down menu, you will want to click “Connection Secure.” in the next menu page, click “More Information.”

 

 

A new window will now open with the Page Info. You will then click the Permissions tab at the top.

 

Once in Permissions, scroll down to the bottom of the menu, where you will find the Autoplay setting. Uncheck “Use Default” and click “Allow Audio and Video.”

You can then close out of the Site Information Window. You will then want to Reload the program’s page.

 

Edge

Once in the program, you will want to click the Site Information Icon ; which can be found in the top left of the browser next to the URL/Address Bar

 

After clicking the Site Information Icon, a drop-down menu will appear, where you should then see the setting for Sound under the Permissions of this Site section:

From the Sound setting you will want to click the drop-down arrow, and change the setting to Automatic:

Once you’ve made the change, you can click the “X” in the top right of the drop-down menu, to close out of the menu:

You should now hear audio after making the change above and closing out of the menu.

 

Safari

Once in the program, you will want to click Safari which can be found in the top left of the browser. Then click Settings...

Once in the settings menu, you will want to click on the Websites tab at the top.

From the Websites tab, you will then click on Auto-Play found on the left-hand side.

Once in the Auto-Play settings, you will see a list of the websites you currently have open.

From the list of websites, you will want to click on “Stop Media with Sound” next to the website for the program and from the drop-down menu, change the setting to “Allow All Auto-Play”.

You can then close out of the Settings menu and Reload the page to update the changes.
